Cub Scout Pack
502
Annual Cub Registration Fee is $65, Checks should be payable to
"Pack 502"
Should payment be a financial hardship, please contact one of the
Leaders in confidence. We strive to respect and maintain the privacy
and trust of all our cubs and their families.
We will NEVER turn away a boy due to family financial difficulty.
Cub Scout packs are divided into smaller groups called dens.
Dens consists of about six to eight boys, by rank (generally in the
same grade)
Leaders at Pack 502 are trained by the Council at both the Pack and
Den levels so you can be sure that your sons safety and best interests
are of the utmost concern to the Pack.

Tigers - First Grade (or age 7)
Wolves - Second Grade (or age 8)
Bears - Third Grade (or age 9)
Webelos I - Fourth Grade (or age 10)
Webelos II - Fifth Grade (or age 11)

In Pack 502, dens generally meet twice a month ("den meetings") and
may schedule additional activities, such as a hike or visit to a local
historical or cultural site, especially as the Cubs reach the higher
ranks. Dens stay together as the boys progress though the Cub ranks.
Much of the work towards earning the Cubs' rank badges will be
completed during den meetings.

Aside from Tiger Cubs, Dens are run by a adult volunteer den leader,
usually a parent of one of the boys in the dens, as well as an assistant
den leader (ideally). Although Tiger Dens also have a den leader, the
Cub/Parent teams take turns running the den meetings, while the Tiger
leader is there to assist the Tiger teams.
